Chico's new release "THOUGHTS OF ..." is a swing, swing, swinging affair!! The MAN leads his Euphoria group - Cary DeNigris on guitar, Paul Ramsey on bass, Evan Schwam on tenor sax, Erik Lawrence on alto and soprano sax, and Karolina Strassmayer on flute, alto and soprano sax - in some soulful reflections on people, music and life! The band is joined by some special guest artists whose life and music have been deeply affected by Chico- guitarists Joe Beck, Larry Coryell and Rodney Jones. Chico wrote new compositions especially for this recording and he also lays down new grooves on surprising contemporary covers: that classic "Conquistadors" beat on "Je Ka Jo," a recent dance-floor stomper by Joe Clausell; or the "Killer Joe Groove" of "Bull-Rush" by rocker and former leader of The Jam, Paul Weller! The album captures the unique ambience of one of a live gig and through it all Chico shows that he's always hip and ever-modern!
